About Politics and Spirituality

There is worry and fear around the upcoming presidential elections. I believe that we cannot influence a higher vibrational outcome through fear, with statements like “this is what will happen when X is elected”. Both sides are using this fear narrative, the statements are threats to voters meant to influence one way or the other.

It seems to me that as humans we have an innate desire to belong to something bigger. Some would play on that desire, causing fear by pointing out differences.

Maybe we can all agree that fear and conflict do not feel good?😟

What if “something bigger” is the human race? Maybe instead of being “for” or “against” a certain point of view, we can be “for” the human race.

What if we can feel acceptance instead of conflict?

Most basic to me as I strive to be a human being acting in love, is that we show the way through love and love-based actions, intending our actions to be like ripples on a pond. This is the way we raise the collective vibration.

We all breathe the same air, including those who we see as the antagonists and protagonists. We share the same earth, no matter who we vote for. In previous blogs I have talked about the commonality in which people from all walks of life share. We share the same interests - food, sports teams, and music are some that come to mind at first. What are you passionate about? Ice cream? Soccer? Gardening? It is likely there are many people from different backgrounds that share your passion!

There are some that have observed that the major changes that human civilization experiences do not occur by “business as usual”, but by system breakdown. What looks very ugly to us may turn out to be the catalyst to transformational, positive change.

I can’t see the future, but I do believe that we are going to be ok. I believe that the more we can see each other with appreciation, the more we can see our similarities, resulting in positivity and love. It is work, but honestly these feelings are more pleasant than living in a fear state. Let’s work together to ditch the judgements and embrace our differences!

Note to reader: I hope you understand it is not my intent to convince you of anything. My intention is to present my view. My view is not the correct one, it is my own. I work to be open to other views, and mine will change with additional input. Maybe we can have a conversation in the future about these topics, over our favorite food or drink. 😊
